Welcome to the Cary Mayor's Task Force on Disability

We are citizens interested in:

  • creating awareness of disability issues
  • improving accessibility for citizens with disabilities to recreation, transportation and public services in Cary
  • advocating for persons with disabilities and seeking resolution of concerns affecting them.

News

Arts Access NC is conducting a statewide survey of needs related to arts for people with disabilities. In partnership with VSA Arts, the NC Arts Council seeks to develop a statewide arts & disability network to promote opportunities for people with disabilities. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Z7DW5LZ

Travel Training through the Alliance of Disability Advocates This program can help individuals become independent transit system users. Read more here.

Information

Task Force Meeting Location and Time
Our meetings are at the Page Walker Arts & History Center.

Time: 12-1 p.m., second Wednesday of each month.

Place: Page Walker Arts & History Center, second-floor conference room. An elevator is available for those who need it.

Directions: Located on Ambassador Loop on Town Hall Campus. The campus is off North Academy Street, between Chapel Hill Road and Chatham Street in downtown Cary.
